Mechanical Design engineer to join a forward thinking and innovative engineering company based in Featherstone, West Yorkshire

Requirements
- Degree qualified in mechanical engineering with previous design experience within an industrial environment
-0 Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrications, electromechanical light machinery, structural engineering, recycling machinery & conveyor and transfer systems, process engineering and material behaviour would be beneficial
- experience using AutoCAD and 3D modelling software such as Solidworks is essential
Role
- Designing special purpose machinery for mechanical handling processes
- Conduct research, create concepts and prototypes, testing and developing the prototypes, and over seeing the production process
- Using Solidworks to design and detail concepts
- Liaising with Shop Floor Manager, Management Team, Design Team and clients
- Provide practical and cost effective solutions to design change and modification for order requirements
