iRecruit are currently seeking a qualified CAD Technician to work with a large manufacturer of various types of metal plating. The successful candidate will work in a small team, providing various detailed drawings and designs to differing specifications on time and to budget to fulfil customer requirements. This is a great opportunity for either an experienced CAD professional or trainee with ambitions to get into the industry to work for a large organisation providing a number of benefits.

The Role

As a CAD Technician, your role will be to provide detailed drawings for customer orders, ensuring that all customers’ requirements and specifications are matched and completed within agreed time restraints so that the designs can then be produced. You will produce nesting and work orders proactively utilising remnants, aged stock and optimal nests. You will additionally assist with the sales team in ensuring customer requirements are met and drive operational excellence, contributing to the planning and schedule of all Production machines.

The Company

The company are one of Yorkshire’s leading manufacturers of stainless steel supplying to a number of industries. They specialise in taking a large portion (70% to 90%) of their products from recycled materials at the end of their life cycles. Their legacy of innovation and consistent quality has given them a great reputation and meant their projects range from large statues in tow centres to run of the mill plating. With a huge site based in Sheffield, they now require a new CAD technician to join their team in helping to work on detailed drawings for these varied products.

Requirements

·         Strong CAD skills

·         Experience in manufacturing company desirable but not essential

·         Experience in steel desirable but not essential
