iRecruit are currently seeking an experienced IT professional to work as a field based support engineer for copier systems and related IT products. A well-established SME on the outskirts of Doncaster are looking for a mechanically minded, capable and personable individual to work in a field based role for their client base across the UK, fixing copiers and related products as well as advising on further service requirements. This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT professional looking to try out a varied role with an ever growing organisation.

The Role

The main aspect of the role day to day is going out and meeting with various clients that company currently work with, supporting their needs for fixing copier systems. You will be tasked with seeing and speaking with customers face to face, finding solutions to any issues with various types of copier systems but also advising on how any improvements can be made. This is by no means a sales role, but the company are offering the opportunity for the successful candidate to upsell company products if they so wish and if so a commission scheme is likely to be included. Other aspects of the role may include general 1st and 2nd line support when not required to be out visiting clients. However, the main aspect of the role will be out on the road, and for this reason a car is provided along with full work and private mileage paid as well as a phone and laptop.

The Company

Based on the outskirts of Doncaster, the company a provider of a variety of IT related products and services. With a background in copier systems, they have stablished a large client base mainly throughout Yorkshire which has enabled a huge amount of repeat business. Although the main aspect of what they do is within copiers, they also sell Managed IT Services, hardware and software. They pride themselves on being open and honest with customers and believing that the majority of IT systems are fixable.

Requirements

" Experience in role related to IT maintenance & Support 
" Copier systems experience desirable but not essential 
" Must be a naturally mechanically minded individual 
" Able to work on own initiative 
" Good communication skills in order to deal with customers
