iRecruit are currently seeking an experienced and sales focused Commercial Director to work for a leading bio-refinery organisation based in the North West. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing the Group’s operations both nationally and internationally, strategically implementing and delivering a structured plan to upscale the business.

The Role

With an initial focus on the UK operations, the Commercial Director will look to implement and deliver a strategy to grow the business. You will effectively look to recruit for the sales team and train them to the standard required. With a key focus on the food industry, you will identify a number of new opportunities for the clients on-site bio-refineries and create a strategy for targeting this sector. For this reason, experience of selling into the food industry both nationally and internationally is highly desirable. You will be in charge of budgets and will look to present your budgets and business plan to the board, meeting with them on a consistent basis.   

The Company

Based in the North West, the company are a biofuel focused organisation operating both nationally and internationally. Working as a designer, engineering manufacturer and Project Manager of converting food waste to biogas and biomethane they look to generate renewable energy. With cutting edge technology and a real focus on consistently good research they are able to provide significant savings to clients in waste costs. Their bio refineries are funded mainly by third parties meaning significant investment and no required funding by the client.  

Requirements

·         Extensive experience within a Sales/Commercial Management role

·         Good understanding of the UK food industry & Global Food industry

·         Experience of operating a P & L

·         Commercially astute and adept at managing contracts

·         Strategic thinker
