iRecruit are currently seeking an experienced Financial professional to work as a Chief Accountant for an international organisation who provide a variety of powered access machinery and equipment. Reporting to the UK MD, the Chief Accountant will take full responsibility for all financial activity, leading a team of accountants. With the proposition of travelling abroad once a quarter as well as a bonus and company car that comes with the role, this is a great opportunity for either an experience accountant Finance Manage or Finance Director looking for their next challenge.

The Role

As Chief Accountant, you will be reporting directly to the UK Managing Director and be involved will all aspects of accounting and financial reporting. You will ensure the continued and accurate reporting of statutory and quarterly accounts and supervise all credit management activities. A hands on manager as well as an experienced auditor, you will play the leading role in analysing variances and results of the performance of various branches across the country. This will require travel from time to time and for that reason a company car is provided. The successful candidate will also be required to travel to the organisations HQ in Paris once every quarter.

Working on an international basis for over 40 years, the company are a market leading provider of a variety of powered access equipment which includes mounted platforms, scissor lifts and cherry pickers. With over 500 branches across Europe, they have built an enviable reputation within the industry and are looking to continue that further. Priding themselves on a strong service and good customer retention they now require a new Chief Accountant to report directly to the UK Managing Director.

Requirements

·         Fully qualified Accountant or potentially QBE

·         Ideally 3 years’ experience in an accounting or auditing firm but this is not essential

·         Alternatively 5 years’ experience in a senior accounting management role e.g. Chief Accountant or FD

·         Hands on Manager with good communication skills

·         Strong analytical skills
