Full Time
• Lead the delivery of large single schemes or run several schemes depending on experience and ability.
• Lead the project delivery to ensure the highest standards of Health and Safety are maintained.
• Manage Key Alliance partners and subcontractors
• Ensure the design is completed and approved including value engineering and buildability input.
• Engage the functional project support team at framework level for all project aspects such as stakeholder management, community liaison, town planning, access consents and permits etc ensuring seamless delivery of our schemes.
• Ensure everyone understands the project objectives, clients needs and are working to them
• Manage direct reports and site team, reviewing their performance, duties and support their development
• Ensure that all engineering, measurement, sub-contract works are undertaken in accordance with the conditions and requirements of the contract.
• Manage, review and drive resourced Construction Programme ensuring all the Team is aware of the critical path, each other’s work and any changes.
• Promote continuous improvement and value engineering in everything undertaken and share good practice within the project
• Attend / arrange weekly co-ordination, progress and programme / resource meetings as required
• Ensure, monitor and co-ordinate management of Quality Assurance
• Control costs against budget and forecast
• Manage risks and opportunities by regular input into project risk register, ensuring mitigation and action plans are being worked to, updated and communicated.
• Play a key role in the management and communication of change control
• Significant civil / construction experience.
• Agent / management experience.
• Civil Engineering Degree or similar HNC/HND.
• Working towards or have Chartered Membership of recognised institution
Desirable
• Major projects experience of £30m upwards.
• APMP Association for Project Management
• Temporary works coordination experience, confined space working, lifting operations, traffic management, corrosion protection, Scaffold inspection / major scaffold management
• Design Management experience
