Manager
Main Purpose: This is
the ideal role for an individual seeking a career working in a dynamic project
management environment within the Private Network & Utilities sectors.
You will form part of the Project Management team focussing
on the successful delivery of multi-disciplined projects at all stages of the
project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
•Pre contract client interface
•Project Mobilisation
•Project Dashboard reporting
•Programme management and planning
•Setting up maintaining Client interface
•Set up initiate and maintain all project controls inc
financial HSS commercial compliance and materials and plant standards
•Communications with and management of subcontractors and
suppliers
•Project invoicing / variations
•Project documentation / schedules / records
•Project purchasing / hire
•Project implementation and management of site staff
•Project close out
•Audits / inspections
•Bid / tender assistance
•External audits support
•Occasional sales support
Competencies:
•Project Management and engineering experience within the
Utilities industry with particular
emphasis on Power
* Cost Management experience and Reporting
* Programme Management and Reporting
* Project Risk Management experience and Reporting
* Experience of Quality Management Systems
* Commercial and Contract Awareness
* Experience of working closely with clients to achieve
success
•Three years PM to AMPM (Prince 2 ) standard
•Engineering qualification (Min HNC) vital (electrical desirable
•Demonstrable Team management capabilities
•Familiarity with operating projects in accordance with the
CDM Regulations and internal business Control of Work policies and procedures.
This includes ensuring the availability, isolation and access of plant and
equipment (e.g. confined space entry, hot work etc).
•Working knowledge of project management software (eg;
Primavera, MS Project Manager etc) to project manage multiple contracts and
scopes of work.
•Proven experience in managing projects across the regulated
and unregulated power sectors
•Good IT skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
•Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication
skills
•Team player
•Demonstrable Ability to work under pressure meeting
deadlines and delivering to budget
•Flexible
•Pro-active approach and a willingness to contribute new
ideas
•Full Driving licence
•Experience of delivering major power connection projects in
a competitive environment desirable
•Working within frameworks of accreditation such as
Achilles, Lloyds NERS, WIRS and GIRS.

either in writing or verbally by Management or Supervisors and to ensure such
instruction and training is given and understood before work commences

disposed of in a safe and responsible manner.
