Contract Length – Minimum of 6 months a view to permanent
My client are looking for a HR business partner to start as
soon as possible. They will be based from home visiting, multiple sites around
the Sheffield, Leeds and Lincoln areas.
The positon is for a minimum of 6 months with the
possibility of becoming a permanent position.
Job purpose:
·
In line with business strategic objectives,
to pro-actively support the development of the business and its people within
area of responsibility
·
To act as business partner to site managers,
shaping and influencing their thinking on people issues, managing and
pro-actively resolving all aspects of the employee life cycle. This includes
resourcing, attendance, performance management, disciplinary and grievance
issues, talent identification and succession planning
·
To ensure best practice is followed by
providing effective professional HR (Human Resources) advice and guidance in
line with current legislation and company policies and procedures
·
Monitor, manage and improve, in conjunction
with managers, the HR KPIS and metrics for their area of responsibility.
·
To participate in Group-wide process
improvement and development projects as appropriate
Deputise for the RHHR as appropriate
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
·
Professional
·
Degree level education or equivalent
·
Chartered CIPD qualified, maintains active
CIPD membership, evidence of continuous professional development
·
Experienced HR Business Partner, with at
least 3 years HR Business Partnering experience within multi-location,
unionised organisation
·
Good knowledge of UK employment legislation
·
Experience of TUPE
·
Experienced in using a competency based
approach to development and performance management
·
Well-developed coaching and mentoring skills
·
Good influencing skills and change management
experience gained across similar employee groups
·
Confidentiality, integrity and the ability to
handle sensitive information/situations in a mature and thoughtful manner will
be paramount to this position
·
Strong interpersonal, presentation and
communication skills (verbal and written
·
Ability to recommend and deliver innovative
solutions
·
Superior organisational skills with the
ability to prioritise workloads in a busy environment.
·
Ability to work on own initiative and to
self-organise as well as part of a team
·
Computer literate in word processing,
spreadsheet and graphic packages
·
Compliance awareness
