Purpose of the Role:
To work as part of the management team to oversee the efficient and effective manufacturing and distribution of products within the specified time frames and to the quality standards required.
To ensure that all employees are working to their full potential, adhering to all works rules / policies and to the required standards for health and safety.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Ensure all products are delivered on time and in full both internally and externally.
Ensure that products are manufactured / delivered to the required quality standards.
Production / warehouse planning.
Ensuring machines / equipment / fork lifts are maintained and operating as required.
Management of other employees within specified areas, with responsibilities for discipline, performance, training, and health safety.
Management of temporary labour requirements within specified areas.
Develop continuous improvement attitude, ensuring that all requirements are met to improve working practices across the site.
Ensuring that strict house keeping policies are adhered to. Attend management meetings as required
Qualifications Required: No specific formal qualifications essential. Management and / or health and safety certificates desirable.
Experience Required:
Strong management experience in a manufacturing environment, including full management of employees.
Experience of organising and leading others is essential. Experience of managing work loads and both setting and achieving KPI's. Good IT skills required.
Person Specification:
Must have a positive and pro-active approach to challenges and change management.
Excellent communication skills are essential, along with an ability to communicate at all levels.
