iRecruit are currently seeking capable and experienced Service Engineer’s to work in field based roles for a large material handling organisation based in Basingstoke. Due to continued expansion the company require a large number of new Engineers in various areas in the South, the Midlands area and Leeds. Successful candidates will have worked either in material handling previously or in a related industry such as plant hire, cranes or industrial flooring. The Role

Reporting to the relevant Service Manager, your role will be to carry out maintenance work on forklift trucks for a variety of the company’s clients in a specified region. The role will involve working to a planned schedule of service and maintenance. Being provided with a fully expensed company vehicle you will respond to service request as and when required ensuring expectations of the customer are met. Standard working hours will be 8am-4pm but with the flexibility to work overtime when required, which will be paid accordingly on top of your annual salary.

The company are an international manufacturer and supplier of forklift trucks, thus operating in the material handling industry. Originally American based, its share of the UK market has grown significantly over the last ten years and as a result the company now require a number of new Service Engineer’s to satisfy the demands of its phenomenal sales success. With further expansion, there are great prospects for progression opportunities for the right individuals. Whilst running as a large corporation, the UK operations are still run with a core of people who have worked there a long time, ensuring continued support and the right kind of environment.

Requirements

·         Experience in either Material handling/forklifts highly desirable

·         Experience in a related industry e.g. cranes, earth moving equipment, plant hire etc.

·         Extensive knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering

·         Flexibility to work over time

·         Team Player with good communication skills
