iRecruit are currently seeking a highly experienced and capable project/commissioning engineer to work on an international basis for a fast growing energy organisation based in the centre of London. For an individual with strong expertise in power and energy, this is a great opportunity to work and develop with a forward thinking company who are undergoing rapid expansion.

The Role

As an international project engineer you will be based in the London area but have the flexibility to travel to a number of worldwide location. You will be responsible for conducting energy audits in order to assess the potential for the company’s offering, demand response, and lead all aspects of demand response projects. This encompasses all aspects of technical work, budget management, delegating responsibility, scheduling, and client relationship management. You will be managing all contractors and HSE on client sites, and liaise with energy and utility suppliers, contractors and customers.

Working internationally you will coordinate all projects, ensuring that all aspects from initial point of contacts through to full installation go as smoothly as possible and will provide guidance to junior engineers within the organisation, assisting with various technical concepts such as energy efficiency analysis, testing systems, writing reports and engineering evaluations.

The company are an innovative and well financially backed energy organisation that specialise in demand response management. Although based in central London, they work on an international basis, with mainland Europe, East Asia and Israel being their main hubs for business outside of the UK.

Having only been operating for just over 6 years, their growth has been substantial, which they attribute to the leading edge technology that they provide, as well as their entrepreneurial approach. With big expansion plans, the company are recruiting heavily and looking to increase market share in both UK markets and internationally.

Requirements

• Experience with on-site installation/commissioning of electrical systems
• Experience in demand response, smart grid, battery, highly desirable
• Deep understanding of electrical schematics and systems (HV/LV switchgear, generators, BMS)
• Working knowledge in additional languages is desirable
• Comfortable in working independently (e.g. on-site)
• Proficient in project management and business planning
• Commercially aware
• Entrepreneurial, with experience in conceiving and then managing deliverables through to successful execution
• Team management and leadership, with well-honed people skills
